Over two hours of well-arranged traditional paper roll music included from marches, waltzes and foxtrots. Veneered wood casework is in "as new" condition with no scratches or marks. Four nearly new pneumatic tyres on its original attractive cart, with two draws for storage of rolls and other accessories. A very full sounding organ with excellent bass. This is not the busker organ, the rolls are the same as the Raffin (110mm). It comes on a detachable silver cross chassis and 40 rolls of good music. It has 2 ranks of pipes and a lot of animation. Dog wags its tail, cat moves its head, Mice come out of the cheese, figures both have moving heads and one rings a bell, the other moves the baton. | For Sale: A very cool Organ. The baffles are missing. I know little about this piece so I do not know what it take to get it going. My initial intention was to clean it up and put a CD player inside (with a speaker and a CD of organ music) and have the on switch on a timer, activated by the turn crank. This was going to be placed outside a store front (coffee shop). Thanks to the 2020C word the coffee shop is out of business. So now it sits gathering dust. This Organ is extremely well built and very heavy. The back wheels are steel wrapped with wood spokes. The front wheels are steel with steel spokes. The cart sits on heavy duty leaf springs. Although very heavy the cart is very agile and easy to maneuver. It has cobwebs and dust from sitting in my garage. The brass is also getting oxidized. The brass will clean up with some elbow grease and the brass tubes also will clean up to a nice shine. Feel free to ask questions. This would have to be a local pick up due to it’s weight or I will work with your freight company to ship at your expense. |

Complete with 40 spools of music being mostly cut by Melvyn Wright on plastic paper. containing over 100 tunes ranging from Popular songs, War time music, Marches, waltzes, Hymns, Christmas songs ,etc. including some Dutch street organ tunes arranged by Hiddo Van Os. The music rolls alone would cost over £1000 to buy. De Cherub's main body was made by the famous organ builder, John smith to a very high standard, being polished mahogany veneered and with brass trimmings. it measures 21" deep x 40" long x 46" tall. The front was designed, made and hand painted made by the famous fairground artist Terry Darby. The Conductor figure is not animated but was hand carved by John Selwood a famous wood carver. The bespoke authentic Dutch hand cart was made by Dennis Dean, and has a pull-out draw with room for 18 rolls of music. It has 3 wooden spoked wheels with metal trims and is decorated with a cloud scene and 2 Three-dimensional Cherubs by Terry Darby to match the organ. Collection from ipswich suffolk £2150.00 ovno. Stuber 26-note Street Organ. There are 13 rolls (multi-tune ones), 7 from Stuber and 6 from Melvyn. The trolley includes a drawer which holds 7 rolls and the detachable winding handle. The trolley is easy to dismantle down to frame and loose wheels. There is a waterproof cover for the organ. The organ has one stop to control the piccolos, the violins being the main voice. He brought it back to the workshop in the late 1990s and they stripped everything out and rebuilt it as a blower-operated MIDI powered instrument, adding a bourdon celeste register. | For Sale: 47-key Marenghi/Gaudin (Ideal Orchestre). This instrument is of typical Marenghi manufacture. Ch. Marenghi died in 1919 and Gaudin continued running the company and had bought it by the end of 1920 so we think it is fare to say that organ numbers starting with 25- - may well still be within Marenghi’s time. Gaudin had very different ideas on chest design and this instrument is typical of Marenghi manufacture. Not only is the instrument a fine original example but there is also a vast repertoire of original Marenghi factory music still with their Marenghi labels and in good condition. It was purchased January 11th 2017 by Stuart Dobbs (organ builder) and has now been housed in a purpose built display trailer so the facade can be left fully assembled. In a copy of the Marenghi catalogue there is listed a 47-key Ideal Orchestre instrument which is the same but with a different facade. This instrument is written down as replacing 5 musicians. The trailer comes with a spare wheel and jack and can be towed by a small car. The trailer has lights for towing. In addition, the organ has three bright LED lights at the front, illuminating the pipes. The organ is in superb condition having recently been fitted with two new 12v leisure batteries (24v) with auto chargers for safe charging . It can be turned by hand, battery or mains, or generator. The organ can be fully portable and independent for showground use where there is restricted mains availability. The bellows motor only draws two Amps, so will run for a very long period on battery with intermittent use. This was the first model made in Ithaca, New York, USA in 1885, part of a life-time of collecting these interesting Cob Organs. This is a 20-note pressure-operated model complete. One leg is a very well professionally-made replacement, but the instrument is in need of full pneumatic restoration and does not make much sound at the moment. There will be 10 original cobs included, but I do have some nearly new cobs with more modern music which would play on this machine available at extra cost, (they are currently for sale on Ebay).
