Alternative Construction of Reservoir Springs by Geoffrey Morriss |
|
| I have just finished my attempt at a Busker. Like others before me, I
suspect, I had problems with pressurising the Reservoir. No one around here
had heard of piano wire, and I found that the "bulldog clip" method limited
the opening of the reservoir bellows.
In the event I used four small tension springs fitted across the end of the bellows. This was easy to do and had the advantage that the whole bellows assembly could be removed and re-fitted in one piece. It seems to work very well! See sketch below. Geoff Morriss, Carmarthen.
