Mounting Pipes in Organ

I was getting in a hurry to complete my John Smith 20 note organ so I could hear it and tried a simple method of mounting the pipes. I used Velcro, the kind with a sticky back. Just a couple of 3/4 inch square pieces adequately hold the pipes in position and are readily removed if needed.

I made all the pipes out of one 6 in. x 6 ft. x 3/4 in piece of poplar by resawing to thickness on a bandsaw.

The organ sounds gratifyingly good.
